Meet Our Doctors
Meet Doctor Gibson and Doctor Moore and find out more about their lives, their loves, and their careers.

Scott Gibson
Lead Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Gibson is a native of Roswell, Georgia, where he grew up playing soccer and developed a love for the sport during high school. A summer foreign exchange trip to France sparked his passion for international travel.
He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate studies before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, Dr. Gibson worked as an assistant in the large animal facility and completed his senior externship at a mixed animal practice in Montana. One of his more memorable patients there was a mountain lion named Rosie, who came in for dental treatment.
After earning his veterinary license, Dr. Gibson chose to begin his career in Savannah, Georgia. He spent time learning (and occasionally struggling) to surf the waves of Tybee Island on a 10-foot Stewart surfboard. His roommate at the time worked at the Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic, which led Dr. Gibson to start moonlighting as an emergency vet—experience that would prove invaluable during his later years working full time in emergency medicine.
In 2006, Dr. Gibson co-founded his first animal hospital at Lake Oconee, where he enjoyed working with a talented team and serving a wonderful community of clients and patients. After selling the practice in 2018, he remained rooted in the Lake Oconee area—his wife, Vonda, is originally from here—and was excited to acquire a beautiful, conveniently located facility for his next veterinary venture.>
Dr. Gibson and his family are active members of Lake Point Community Church.
